The Nigeria Association of Auctioneers (NAA) has conducted a successful auction of a plaza in Mararaba, Nassarawa State, drawing praise from bidders and stakeholders for its transparent process.

The auction, held in the presence of representatives from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), security operatives, media professionals, bidders, and members of the public, showcased professionalism and adherence to industry standards.

Prior to the bidding, participants were taken on a guided tour of the premises to inspect the property. The plaza, fully completed with functional facilities, including a generator and furnished interiors, was confirmed to be move-in ready.

Addressing the audience before the auction commenced, the President of the Nigeria Association of Auctioneers, Alhaji Aliyu Kiliya, emphasized the integrity of the process.

“The auction is open to all serious bidders, and I assure you of transparency based on auctioneering rules and regulations. We are a professional body governed by laws,” he said.

Chief Auctioneer Otumba Alhaji Folaryemi Ogunleye urged bidders to approach the process with seriousness, stating that the plaza was overdue for sale.

He explained, “The winning bidder must pay 10% of the agreed amount immediately. Failure to complete payment within the stipulated time will result in forfeiture of the deposit.”

This auction reaffirms the Nigeria Association of Auctioneers’ commitment to maintaining high standards in property transactions, further boosting public confidence in their operations.
