Parallex Bank has presented N10 million to 10 outstanding athletes from the Lagos State contingent at the 2025 National Youth Games in Asaba as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

According to the bank, the MD/CEO, Dr Olufemi Bakre, presented the cheques to the athletes during an award presentation held at the bank’s headquarters in Lagos recently, in the presence of the director general of the Lagos State Sports Commission, coaches, and other stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, Dr Bakre said, “At Parallex Bank, we believe that investing in young people is an investment in the future. These exceptional athletes have demonstrated excellence, discipline, and resilience, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements. Through this recognition, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering young talents and enabling limitless possibilities for the next generation.”

The director general of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Lekan Fatodu, commended the bank for demonstrating exemplary corporate social responsibility, noting that the bank’s support has continued to motivate young athletes and contribute meaningfully to sports development in Lagos State.
