Nigeria will battle Namibia, Rwanda and Uganda in Group B’ where the top two teams will advance to the semifinal.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, the team head coach, Mr. Leke Oyede, expressed optimism about his side’s chances. “We have been working hard over the last couple of months to fine tune our skills and work on the shortcomings from our last Kwibuka tournament in Rwanda. We understand that it is a very competitive tournament but we have put in the hard work and we believe we will be able to express ourselves during the games and show how much we have improved as a team,” he said.’

Nigeria’s team departed the country yesterday ahead of their opening match against Namibia on Sunday, December 10.
