NDLEA Arrests 103, Seizes 1,458Kg of Illicit Drugs In Kaduna

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kaduna State Command reported the arrest of 103 suspects and the seizure of 1,458.709 kilograms of illicit drugs in the state.

Mr. Samaila Danmallam, the state NDLEA Commander, disclosed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday that these arrests and drug seizures occurred within December.

Danmallam clarified that the 103 arrested suspects encompassed drug traffickers, dealers, and users. The illicit substances confiscated included cocaine, heroin, cannabis, tramadol, methamphetamine, and other psychotropic substances.

Moreover, the command dismantled 26 illicit drug joints, secured six convictions, and arraigned 24 suspects during December. Danmallam emphasised that these actions were part of the command’s efforts to combat the drug scourge in the state through drug demand reduction activities.
