Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the appointment of its former governorship candidate in the 2023 election, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, as a reward and recognition for loyalty and hard work.
A statement issued in Jos by the acting publicity secretary of the party, Shittu Bamaiyi, said the party believes that President Ahmed Tinubu chose Nentawe based on his rich credentials, comportment, pedigree and strength of character among other considerations.
According to the statement, the appointment is well deserved and seen as an honor not only to Dr Nentawe but the entire APC family as well as people of Plateau State.
He explained that the ministerial appointment apart from serving as a morale booster, was reassuring and fulfilling to APC supporters in their continued faith and loyalty in President Tinubu’s government.
“The party is extremely grateful to President Tinubu for choosing Dr Nentawe to head that all important ministry and express the belief that he will justify the confidence reposed in him by bringing to bear his wealth of experience as an academic and administrator in the new office,” the statement said.
