Netizen Reacts As Security Stops Seyi Law From Greeting Governor Makinde

Popular comedian Seyi Law has sparked reactions online following an encounter with the security details of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde in Ibadan.

In a viral video recorded at the wedding of veteran actress Sola Sobowale’s daughter, the comedian was seen attempting to shake the Governor’s hand. However, security personnel swiftly intervened, preventing the comedian from reaching the governor.

The incident occurred while Governor Makinde was watching a musical performance by legendary singer, Yinka Ayefele.

The footage has since triggered a wave of comments on social media. While some users mocked the comedian for the awkward moment, many others praised the Governor’s security team for their professionalism

An Instagram user named ox_rich_ commented on the video, saying: “See how they just threw Seyi Law’s hand away.”

Another person, @Gboye_Rave, pointed out the comedian’s political affiliation, asking, “Isn’t this Seyi Law from APC?”

One more observer, @olulade15, supported the Governor’s team, writing: “I like how the Governor snubbed Seyi Law. There is no room for eye service. The Governor needs to be careful because you cannot just shake everyone’s hand in this wicked world.”
