He made the declaration on Wednesday at the first interactive meeting with officers and men of the Command after his assumption of office.

The newly appointed Commissioner also identified some major crimes in the state that include thuggery, phone snatching and drug abuse, promising to use proactive measures in fighting them.

He promised to be committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability as he serves in the state.

“Based on assessment conducted, these issues include: Thuggery (Fadan Daba): We will deploy proactive strategies to prevent and respond to thuggery-related incidents including mobile phone armed robbery, ensuring the protection of lives and properties.

“Drug Abuse (Kwaya): We will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to combat the scourge of drug abuse, providing support for rehabilitation and reintegration programs

“Domestic Violence: We will strengthen our response mechanisms to address domestic violence, ensuring that victims receive timely and effective support.

“Kidnapping along border LGAs: We will enhance our intelligence gathering capabilities and collaborate with local communities and neighboring states to prevent and respond to kidnapping incidents along our borders.

“Cyber Crimes: We will diligently work with our specialized units to tackle Cyber-related crimes, fraud and other financial crimes, leveraging technology and expertise to arrest and prosecute perpetrators,” the CP stated.
