Niger Gov Reintroduces Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has reintroduced monthly sanitation exercise in the state through the newly approved State’s Environmental Sanitation and Wastes Control Regulations law 2025.

Governor Bago said on Sturdy in Minna that the regulations shall, without prejudice to any existing law, applies to matters in environmental sanitation and all categories of waste control in the state.

 

He therefore declared that every last Saturday of every month will be observed as Environmental Sanitation Day in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 (1) (2) of the Niger State Environmental Protection Agency Law, 2022 as amended.
