The service attracted the presence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the President of the 10th Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio and other distinguished Nigerians.

The event featured hymns, prayers, and exhortations from religious leaders.

The Deputy Speaker, who represented the Legislators from the Green Chambers, delivered the second Bible reading from Phillippians 3:12-16.

The Independence Day Service, otherwise called Interdenominational Church Service, is an annual event that brings together Nigerians of all faiths to pray for the country.
