The appointment of Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams as the chairman, House Committee on Sports, will bring further developments to Sports in Nigeria in view of his pedigree as a foremost sports administrator.

This assertion was made by the director-general of National Institute for sports, Surulere, Lagos Prof Olawale Moronkola while congratulating the new chairman.

“The appointment of Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams is heartwarming and a good omen for Nigerian Sports. To have someone who has played football, administered it and to have ran two successful outfits in the Nigerian league attests to a new dawn for sports,” Prof Moronkola said.

Professor Moronkola further affirmed that “He is not new in Nigeria sports and his pedigree in football management will ensure quality legislation for our sports. This is putting the right person in the right place for the good of our sports.”
