No Fake Professor In ATBU – Mgt

The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi has described as untrue and mere fiction a story attributed to the National Universities Commission (NUC) that it has uncovered about 100 fake professors in some Nigerian universities.

In a press release issued by its director information and public relations Zailani Bappah and made available to journalists yesterday, said the story is a mere fiction, an imaginary act and a possible attempt to smear the hard-earned reputation of the university.

According to the statement, the story states that among the listed 100 alleged professors are the names of seven as staff of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

ATBU said none of the mentioned professors is a staff of the university, nor have interacted with the university at any given time in whatever capacity.
