Nottingham Forest are in advanced negotiations with Sporting Lisbon for Ivorian defender Ousmane Diomande, sources confirm, though no final agreement has been reached.
New Forest manager Oliver Glasner has prioritized the 22-year-old center-back, with discussions progressing steadily in recent days. While Sporting’s €80m (£68.2m) release clause remains, Forest are pushing for a reduced fee.
Glasner, who previously sought Diomande at Crystal Palace, sees the defender as a key addition. Diomande has over 150 senior appearances for club and country, including 15 caps for Ivory Coast.
