Nasarawa United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, remains optimistic his team will recover their form in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) despite a 2-0 loss to Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu during the weekend.
The defeat marks a difficult period for the “Solid Miners,” who have secured only one win in their last six league matches. Mangut acknowledged the increasing intensity of the league as it nears its conclusion.
“It’s a bitter pill to swallow in the game,” Mangut told Nasarawa United’s media. “We did our best, but it was not enough to earn us any decent outcome. The league is getting tougher as we approach the end of the season. Every point earned matters a lot at this closing stages of the league. We will keep fighting till the end of the season to reap our goals for the campaign.”
Mangut’s comments highlight the team’s determination to improve their performance and secure crucial points as the NPFL season draws to a close.
