“Our mission here was to assess the readiness of facilities ahead of the 2026 National Sports Festival. We are impressed with what we have seen; several facilities are already in good condition, while others are progressing rapidly. The level of work and commitment displayed thus far is commendable. We are confident that by our next visit in a few months, the progress will be even more remarkable,” she said.

She further commended the Enugu State Government for its dedication, noting that with the support of Governor Peter Mbah and the NSC, Enugu is on course to deliver an exceptional festival.

“The state government’s commitment and the energy we have seen from the LOC are very encouraging. With this momentum, Enugu will be ready to host one of the best National Sports Festivals in history,” Madam Opara added.
