NYCN Presidency: North Central Zone Backs Sukubo’s Re-election Bid

The North Central Zone of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), yesterday endorsed Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo re-election bid as President for a fresh term of four-years in its forthcoming National Elective Congress holding this month.

The State Chairmen of the zone, comprising, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, and FCT Abuja made their position known at a press conference in Abuja.

Reading the text on behalf of the zonal Chairmen, Comr. Damina Solomon John,
Chairman, Nasarawa State Chapter of NYCN, cited the need for continuity and consolidation of Sukubo’s remarkable achievements in youth development, as well as his contributions to national cohesion and nation-building, as the basis for the endorsement.

The Youth Leaders expressed confidence in Sukubo’s capacity to drive transformative change and effectively represent Nigerian youth at the national stage.

They emphasized that Sukubo’s leadership has been marked by impactful initiatives and programs that have positively touched the lives of young Nigerians.

The Youth Leaders believe that his re-election would ensure the continuation of these efforts and further amplify the voices of Nigerian youth.

In a show of solidarity, the North Central Chairmen of NYCN also solicited the support of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and State Governments in the zone for Sukubo’s re-election bid.

They urged all stakeholders to rally behind Sukubo’s leadership and ensure a smooth and successful elective congress.

They said: “We are delighted to declare our collective resolve to support and endorse Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo for re-election as President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.

“His passion, energy, and commitment to youth development make him the ideal candidate for the presidency of NYCN.

“Under his purposeful and dynamic leadership the National Youth Council of Nigeria has become more effective, more inclusive, and more responsive to the needs of Nigerian youth.

“Amb.Sukubo’s leadership has made significant impact in the following key areas: Empowerment of Nigerian Youth through Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship opportunities, promoting Youth participation in governance and decision-making process.

“Fostering partnership and collaboration with stakeholders to drive youth development, oing out of his way to provide his personal funds to drive profitable initiatives that are beneficial to Nigerian youth.

“For someone who has sincerely and selflessly shown this level of commitment and deep love for Nigerian youth, it is only fitting and proper that we support and re-elect him to consolidate and sustain his laudable achievements.”
