Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogoja local government area have asked party members in Cross River North Senatorial District to support the re-election bid of Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Governor Bassy Otu and President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The party faithful, in a unanimous voice vote over the weekend, endorsed Senator Jarigbe, Governor Otu and President Tinubu as their preferred candidates for the 2027 general elections.

At the meeting, traditional rulers and community elders commended Jarigbe for surpassing the people’s expectations through his performance in office.

In a statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Abuja, they emphasised that, in the interest of unity and continued development of the senatorial district, the lawmaker deserves the support of all stakeholders in the five local government areas.

The leaders also pledged their continued support for Governor Otu, noting that his administration’s infrastructural drive has positively impacted Ogoja and other parts of the state.

The chairman of Ogoja council, Hon. Chris Agbe, alongside the APC chairman, women leaders, youth leaders, student representatives and other stakeholders, took turns to commend the senator for his infrastructural projects and human capital development initiatives across the senatorial district.

A motion to adopt Jarigbe, Otu and Tinubu as consensus candidates for 2027 was moved by Rt. Hon. Peter Igbodor, and seconded by Rt. Hon. Paddy Uguge. The motion was unanimously approved by the stakeholders present at the meeting.

In his response, Jarigbe expressed his appreciation for the endorsement and continued support from the people.
