Ohanaeze Eulogises Creativity, Excellence Of Igbo Grammy Winners

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has
eulogised three illustrious sons and daughter of Ndigbo, namely Collins Obinna Chibueze,(Shaboozey), Tyler Gregory Okonma (Tyler the Creator) and Cynthia Ukaegbu, for their remarkable achievements across diverse creative fields especially their feats at the recent 2026 Grammy Awards.

According to the organisation, their feats stand as a powerful testament to the creativity, resilience, excellence and global relevance of Igbo talent.

This was made known through a statement made available to newsmen by Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, National Publicity Secretary,
Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo heartily congratulates our two illustrious sons and a daughter of Alaigbo namely: Collins Obinna Chibueze (Shaboozey) Tyler Gregory Okonma (Tyler the Creator) and Cynthia Chinasa Onyedinmanazu Ukaegbu Erivo on their historic victories at the 68th Grammy Awards held on February 2, 2026.

“By proudly carrying their Igbo identities and names onto the world’s most prestigious cultural stage, they have brought immense honour to Nigeria and to Nigerians everywhere,” he stated.

Speaking on behalf of the global Igbo nation, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azuta Mbata, stated:
“These outstanding achievements reaffirm the timeless Igbo virtues of brilliance, hard work, innovation, courage and perseverance. Our sons and daughters have once again demonstrated that wherever Ndigbo find themselves, excellence follows and they hoist the flag of Nigeria. We celebrate these winners not only for their personal success, but for elevating the Igbo name as Nigerian citizens with dignity and pride before the world.”

“Once again, we celebrate these historic victories and salute all Igbo youths who continue to project the values of Ala Igbo with honour and distinction,” the statement added.
