The newly appointed Anambra State Coordinator of the World Sustainable Development Goals (WorldSDGs) Organisation, Mr George Mmadubueze Okoye, has pledged his commitment to promoting sustainable development across the state.
Speaking shortly after his appointment and documentation in Abuja on Friday, Okoye described the role as a privilege and an opportunity to make meaningful contributions to humanity.
“It’s truly amazing to be part of this international organisation that operates within UN member nations, covering the 17 SDGs,” he said. “I feel highly privileged to be part of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organisation, and I promise to contribute my quota to achieving its mission and vision.”
Okoye assured that under his leadership, the Anambra State Chapter would become one of the most active and result-oriented in the federation.
“As State Coordinator, I don’t take this appointment for granted. Together with my team, we will work tirelessly to take the organisation to greater heights,” he added.
While acknowledging some of the state’s developmental challenges, Okoye said proactive measures would be taken to tackle them.
“Anambra has its own peculiar challenges, but we will take every necessary step to address them. The organisation will feel my impact—from advocacy to life-changing initiatives,” he said.
