The newly appointed director-general of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade has formally resumed office at the commission headquarters, Abuja.
Olopade, who at the resumption in office immediately visited the NSC chairman, Alhaji Shehu Dikko, expressed enthusiasm about working alongside with the former second vice president of Nigeria Football Federation, describing their collaboration as quintessential for achieving the Commission’s goals in developing Nigeria’s sporting sector.
At the meeting with the commission’s directors, Olopade ruled out his vision for the commission, pledging his commitment to dialogue, teamwork and setting a strong foundation for sports development in the country.
To achieve his set objective, he approved the appointment of three aides to serve in the office as the director-general of the Commission.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the director of press, Mrs Kehinde Ajayi, the appointments include, Seyi Johnson – special assistant;
Kola Daniel – special assistant media and Ebidiowei Oweifie – special assistant on special duties.
He urged the appointees to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, in line with the mandate and vision of the National Sports Commission.
