The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja (Arusa I), has expressed readiness to collaborate with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the Sadiat Toyin Lawal Foundation, and the Tabernacle Worship and Prayer Ministry, California, on improving healthcare delivery in Ibadanland.

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Solomon Ayoade, following a visit by the president of the Sadiat Toyin Lawal Foundation, Dr. Toyin Lawal, and other representatives of the three California-based organisations on healthcare outreach.

According to the statement, Oba Ladoja reaffirmed his commitment to the health and wellbeing Ibadan residents.

“The health of the people of Ibadanland is of paramount importance to me. I will leave no stone unturned to ensure the provision and promotion of healthy living among residents of Ibadanland, for health is wealth,” Olubadan said.

Demonstrating his readiness to drive the initiative, the monarch facilitated a meeting between the visiting health delegation and the leadership of the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board (OYSPHCB), led by the Executive Secretary, Dr. Muideen Olatunji, and his team, to explore areas of collaboration.

Earlier in her remarks, Lawal explained that the visit was aimed at strengthening community health partnerships across primary healthcare centres, tertiary hospitals, and local government areas in Oyo State.
