Afrobeats sensation Omah Lay has officially released his sophomore album, ‘Clarity of Mind’, marking a bold new chapter in a career defined by raw emotional honesty and chart-topping hits.
The 12-track project, which arrived on all streaming platforms early on Friday, sees the singer diving deep into themes of self-discovery and healing. Tracks like ‘Artificial Happiness’, ‘Jah Jah Knows’, and ‘Canada Breeze’ showcase the signature “Purple” sound that has earned him a massive global following since his 2020 breakout.
The release comes on the heels of Omah Lay’s recent Grammy nomination for “Best African Music Performance” for his work on ‘With You’ alongside Davido. Known for his candid nature, the singer recently stirred conversations by ranking himself among the greatest ever to do it.
“If you bring together all Afrobeats artistes, when it comes to true artistry and making music, I stand alone at the top,” he stated. “The only person I sometimes put on the same level as me is Burna Boy. Apart from Burna, it’s just me.”
