Irate members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Ugbo Ward 3, Ilaje local government area of Ondo State, on Saturday, assaulted and beat the State’s Commissioner for Health, Banji Ajaka, to stupor for allegedly hiding the result sheets of the party’s governorship primary election which held earlier in the day.

A source told LEADERSHIP that the APC members, who had demanded for the result sheets, eventually descended on Ajaka after an electoral officer fingered him as the one holding the papers.

According to the source, “Hon Ajaka, the Commissioner for Health received general beating in his hometown as his name was mentioned by the INEC officer.

“The place was a support base for another aspirant, Chief Olusola Oke. Ugbo Ward 3 people were seriously angry with the situation as they all believed that it was time for Chief Olusola Oke to govern the state.”
