Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has been cleared as the sole governorship candidate of the Accord Party ahead of the party’s primary ahead of the 2026 governorship election in the State.

Adeleke, who joined the party on Tuesday evening after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over internal crises, received clearance from the party’s screening committee on Wednesday.

The Chairman of the Accord Screening Committee and National Organising Secretary, Elder Ibe Thankgod, confirmed that Adeleke fulfilled all requirements for nomination and participation in the primary.

A Certificate of Clearance was also presented to the governor, hailing him as a worthy gubernatorial aspirant of the party.

At the time of filing this report, 150 delegates representing five from each local government area of Osun State were seated at the venue, ready to commence the exercise.
