The special assistant to the governor on Fire Services Reform/ chairman, Dr Moroof Adebayo Akinwande, who confirmed the incident on Friday, said the agency received a distress call at about midnight on Friday, from one Mr Mayowa about a house on fire at the said location.

He said, fire personnel led by CFS Adekola swiftly responded and deployed to the scene.

“On arrival, three bungalow residential buildings were engulfed by flames. Our officers hurriedly swung into action and on getting there, the attending crew requested an additional fire truck from fire service headquarters and worked to contain the fire,” he said.
