Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has revealed that Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), ordained him as a pastor when he was younger.
Speaking during a recent interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, the film star disclosed that he attended Bible school and studied theology at the Redemption Camp while living in Lagos.
Anuku explained that his decision to enter Christian ministry was driven by his deep love for God and a desire to follow divine guidance, adding that many people are unaware of his religious background.
He noted that his ordination took place while his late wife was still alive and urged anyone doubting his account to confirm the claim directly with Pastor Adeboye.
“Pastor Adeboye conferred me as a pastor when I was young then. I am a pastor, but people don’t know I am a pastor. I love God,” Anuku said. “Go and ask him, he will tell you. Then my wife was alive. I just loved God, and when you love God, His power is more than yours. He directed me to go there.”
