Philanthropist Builds Free State-of-the-Art Hospital In Ankpa

A philanthropist, Dr Stephen Achema Akpa, is building a state-of-the-art hospital for residents of Ankpa local government area of Kogi State.

Akpa, who is the chairman and chief executive officer of Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited and Rehoboth City Estate, is spearheading the construction of the hospital, which he said is now 70 per cent complete.

According to him, the landmark facility is designed to deliver world-class medical services, with a groundbreaking pledge that medications would be provided free of charge.

He maintained that, for many families who have long struggled with inadequate healthcare, the hospital represents a turning point – a beacon of hope and a promise of dignity restored.

According to reports, Dr Akpa has, over the years, reached out to communities with impactful interventions as he has distributed thousands of bags of rice across Kogi State and Abuja during festive seasons, ensuring that households are not left behind in times of celebration.

Beneficiaries have said that his scholarship programmes and N100,000 school fees support initiative have lifted the burden of education for several students, while his direct financial assistance has empowered individuals to rebuild their lives.

Beyond philanthropy, Dr Akpa is redefining modern living through his estate projects under Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited. With new developments in Maitama 2, Katampe Extension, Guzape 2, Apo Wassa, Apo Gude, Jabi, Dakibiyu, Lugbe, and Gwarinpa, his estates are designed as self-sustaining communities.
