PICTORIAL: Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso, Ex-APC National Sec Akpanudoedehe, Others Arrive Ibadan For Opposition Summit

Prominent opposition figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, and immediate-past Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, have arrived in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, for the National Summit of Opposition Political Parties, hosted by Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, on Saturday.

Atiku confirmed his attendance via a post on his social media handles with a video showing his arrival at the Ibadan Airport on Saturday. While Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State and national leader of Kwankwasiyya Movement, also confirmed his arrival in a post and photos shared on his verified Facebook page on Saturday morning.

“Excited to arrive in Ibadan, Oyo State, for the National Summit of Opposition Political Party Leaders, hosted by Governor Seyi Makinde. Ready for meaningful engagements with fellow national leaders,” Kwankwaso wrote.

Other notable opposition leaders, who have arrived in Ibadan for the summit include factional national chairman of PDP, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN; embattled national national secretary of the ADC, Engr. Rauf Aregbesola; former Interim National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), James Akpanudoedehe; former Niger State governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu; former Osun State governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; Senator Ben Obi; immediate-past deputy governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam; ADC chieftain in the State, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, among many others.
