Kano State Governor, Engr Kabir Yusuf, on Monday, swore in Umar Farouk Ibrahim as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to replace Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, who was recently relieved of his duties due to health reasons.

The low-key ceremony held at the Governor’s Office, witnessed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi administering the Oath of Office on Ibrahim as the SSG.

Speaking at the event, Governor Yusuf praised the contributions of the immediate-past SSG and wished him a quick recovery.

He expressed optimism that Ibrahim’s experience would help in advancing the government’s development agenda.

In his remarks, the new SSG pledged to serve the state with dedication and uphold the principles of good governance.
