Authorities in New York City have launched an investigation after a helicopter crashed into the Hudson River on Thursday afternoon, killing all six persons aboard.

Viral video footage shows the moment the helicopter plunged into the river near Manhattan.
Search and rescue operations commenced almost immediately. However, New York City Mayor Eric Adams confirmed six people, including a pilot and family of five visiting from Spain, were killed in the accident.
