Police Kill Kidnap Kingpin Jiji Majugu In Kebbi

Police in collaboration with other security agencies in Kebbi State yesterday said they had killed a kidnap kingpin, Jijji Majugu, in Bagudo local government area of the state.

Police spokesman SP Bashir Usman disclosed this in a statement in Birnin Kebbi yesterday.

He said the success followed a firefight between a gang of eight kidnappers including Majugu and a combined team of security personnel in Geza village in Bagudo where he was neutrilised.

Usman added that the gang had attacked the house of one Alhaji Abu Geza in an attempt to abduct him, but they were overpowered, and one member of the gang was arrested while police rescued the victim.

The gang according to the command had been terrorising communities including Geza, Adawa, Matsinkai, Sharabi, Illela, Suru, Dakingari, Bagudo and other surrounding villages in the area.
