Lagos State Police Command has re-arrested, Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, a close friend of the late Afrobeat singer Promise Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad)  during his scheduled weekly visit to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Panti, Yaba.

It was gathered that Primeboy was rearrested yesterday while in the company of Ayobami Fisayo aka Spending, who was with the deceased singer at his last moment. The arrest is said to be part of the ongoing investigation.

It was further learnt that Spending was released while Primeboy was arrested and detained for further interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba.

This makes it the second time he has been detained by the police over circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.

In October 2023, the Lagos State Police Command placed a N1 million bounty on Primeboy as he was declared wanted in connection with the investigation of Mohbad’s death.

In a viral video he made before he was initially detained, he claimed he did not know what happened as he was still in shock over his friend’s sudden death.
