An Ukwa political leader and technocrat, Emmanuel Shebbs, has lauded leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for what he termed as the party’s coalition spirit.
Shebbs stated this in a letter to the Abia State chairman of the Contact and Mobilisation Committee of the ADC announcing his joining the party, which was sighted by LEADERSHIP in Umuahia, the state capital.
The secretary of Ukwa East local government area from 2020–2022, appreciated the ADC for the invitation, describing his decision to align with the party as both exciting and timely.
He expressed delight that the coalition has members from diverse political backgrounds across the country with shared commitment to build and move the people from stagnation to development.
According to him: “Nigeria’s current political climate marks a critical turning point that demands collective resolve and purposeful engagement from stakeholders across party lines.”
Shebbs, who pledged to work towards building and strengthening the ADC in the area and the state in general, underscored the need to make it a strong, united, and formidable progressive party.
He, therefore, assured of his readiness to contribute meaningfully to strengthening the ADC in the state as the party navigates what he described as a transformative phase in the nation’s political history.
