Promoter Unveils 12 Clubs For Yucateco Boxing League

A leading boxing promotional outfit, Yucateco Boxing Promotions, has unveiled the 12 accredited clubs for Season 2 of the Yucateco Boxing league.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the first of its kind boxing league in the continent debuted in 2023..

It received several accolades from boxing experts around the world after a successful maiden season.

The organisers said at the clubs’s unveiling at the Yucateco headquarters on Monday in Lagos that 12 clubs would participate in the highly anticipated league.

The Technical Director of the league, Babatunde Laguda, said that the competing clubs included Akil Boxing Club, Angulo Boxing Club, Conkal Boxing Club, E-Francis Aiyegbeni Boxing Club and Espita Boxing Club.

Others are Green Grace Farmers, Market Boxing Club, Miramontes Boxing Club, Ogbas Families Boxing Club, Originator Boxing Club, Progreso Boxing Club, Tizimin Club and Y. S. Rano Boxing Club.

According to the organiser, the bouts, which hold on July 26 In Lagos, will run for 16 weeks across 14 states and communities in Nigeria.
