The Albinism Association of Nigeria, Abia State chapter, has sought to collaborate with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to prevent crime and criminality in the state.

The chairman, Enyinnaya Nwosu, stated this when members of the association visited the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, in his office in Umuahia to inform him of their forthcoming conference.

Nwosu said the collaborations became necessary as security, which he argued is indispensable for socioeconomic development, must be ‎everybody’s concern and business.

He also thanked the commissioner, the Police and other security agencies for the relative peace being enjoyed in the state.

Appreciating the commissioner for the quick approval of their request to visit him, he said, “This gesture has given us a strong sense of belonging and further affirmed that the police is everybody’s friend without discrimination.”

‎In his remarks, the commissioner appreciated their request and assured them of the command’s unwavering support and collaboration on security matters.

‎Isa, who encouraged them to partner the police by sharing credible information on suspicious persons and their activities in the state, added that such information would be discreetly dealt with.

‎The commissioner promised to support them during the conference by providing adequate security and protection and wished them successful celebrations.
