Remi Tinubu’s Food Bank Trust Fund Timely, Impactful – Zamfara First Lady

The Wife of the Governor of Zamfara State, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has lauded Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s National Food Bank Trust Fund, stressing that the initiative is timely, impactful and deeply responsive to the current socio-economic realities faced by many Nigerian households.

A statement by Rabi Yusuf, the Zamfara First Lady’s Press Secretary said Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal participated in a high-level stakeholders’ meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, marking the inauguration of the Board of Trustees and the official launch of the National Community Food Bank Trust Fund.

It noted that the programme goes beyond addressing hunger, emphasizing its role in restoring dignity and fostering hope through a sustainable, community-driven framework.

“The initiative, spearheaded by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, represents a strategic national response to food insecurity and a commitment to improving access to nutritious food for vulnerable populations across the country.

“The programme goes beyond addressing hunger, emphasizing its role in restoring dignity and fostering hope through a sustainable, community-driven framework.” It added

The Zamfara First Lady further highlighted that the objectives of the Trust Fund strongly align with the development priorities of the Zamfara State Government, particularly in strengthening local food systems, empowering smallholder farmers and enhancing nutrition outcomes for women and children.
