The Renewed Hope Ambassadors Youth Directorate, in collaboration with the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing, has announced the maiden edition of the Renewed Hope Youth Festival 2026 (RHYF 2026), scheduled as part of activities marking Democracy Day.

The organisers said the festival is a youth-centred initiative designed to celebrate Nigeria’s democratic journey while empowering, engaging and inspiring young people across the country.

The event is scheduled to hold on June 12, 2026, at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, with expectations of attracting over 10,000 young Nigerians.

Organisers said the festival will serve as a convergence point for sports, entertainment, innovation, leadership, networking, learning and opportunities for youth development.

With the theme: “Consolidating the Future: Youth Empowerment, Democratic Resilience, and the Renewed Hope Mandate,” the programme is designed to provide a platform for young Nigerians to connect, compete, acquire knowledge, showcase talent and explore opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Activities lined up for the festival include football, basketball, table tennis, chess, gaming and virtual reality experiences, talent showcases, dance performances, live music, DJ sessions, exhibitions and networking sessions.

Organisers also said the event will feature giveaways and engagement activities aimed at encouraging participation and inclusion.

A key highlight of the programme is the Growth and Development Masterclass, where industry leaders and professionals will train participants on personal branding, financial literacy, wealth creation, communication skills, emotional intelligence, health, wellness and career development.

The festival will also provide what organisers described as a “marketplace of opportunities” for entrepreneurs, exhibitors, vendors, creatives and young professionals to showcase their products and connect with potential partners and audiences.

Speaking on the initiative, the Director of Youth, Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, described the festival as a transformative platform for promoting youth excellence, civic participation and national unity.

He said the initiative is also aimed at creating opportunities for young Nigerians to learn, connect and thrive in a competitive global environment.

Similarly, the APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, said the festival aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s commitment to youth inclusion and nation-building, noting that young people remain central to Nigeria’s democratic and economic future.

As Nigeria marks Democracy Day 2026, organisers said the festival is expected to inspire a new generation of leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and creatives who will contribute meaningfully to national development.
