Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has admonished Muslim faithful to resist every temptation that could lead them to the bad behaviour they have abandoned during Ramadan.
Speaking with newsmen after he participated in Eid prayers at the Muslim Praying Ground in Ede, his country home yesterday, Adeleke called on Muslims to abide by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and honour the dictates of Allah.
The governor who received a rousing welcome by his kinsmen and women who thronged the open field sought the cooperation of Osun people in all the developmental projects his administration had embarked upon
His words, “After 30 days of fasting, we come here (praying ground) to give thanks to Allah and you can see how my people welcome me and I am so happy at home.
“All Muslims should follow the teachings of prophet Muhammed (SAW) and obey Allah’s command.
“Our people should not go back to their bad behaviour after Ramadan. We should continue to show mercy towards one another in this time of economic hardship.
That is what Ramadan teaches us and we should abide by it.
“Our administration is keen on prioritising the welfare of Osun people and we would not relent in making life better for everyone in this state,” Adeleke said.
