England national football team have trimmed their squad following the recent draw with Uruguay national football team, with eight players departing camp in what officials describe as a mix of precautionary measures and planned rotation.

Among the most notable names leaving are Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, both key figures in recent matches. According to BBC Sport, the duo have been released to return to their respective clubs for monitoring after a demanding stretch of fixtures.

Winger Noni Madueke is also departing camp after sustaining a knee issue during the Uruguay clash, raising concerns over his fitness.

Defender John Stones is another high-profile absentee, with the centre-back currently dealing with a calf problem.

The remaining players leaving camp include Aaron Ramsdale, Fikayo Tomori, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Adam Wharton. Their departures are understood to be part of a broader effort by the coaching staff to manage player workloads and assess depth within the squad.

England have been rotating heavily during the international window, using fixtures like the Uruguay match as an opportunity to test fringe players while protecting regular starters from fatigue.

Despite the multiple exits, the strategy reflects a long-term approach focused on balancing fitness, form, and squad depth ahead of major competitions. England are set to face Japan national football team on Tuesday in their final warm-up match before the World Cup in June.
