Rite Foods Partners Actress To Support Less-privileged

Rite Foods has partnered renowned actress, Eniola Badmus, for the “Feed the Needy” initiative in Lagos.

This impactful programme brought essential supplies and joyous moments to marginalised communities across the city on the 1st of January, 2024 which was rounded off with a concert on the 2nd of January, 2024.

From comforting seniors at the Lagos State Old People’s Home to cheering up families at Heritage Homes Orphanage, the initiative delivered much-needed essentials. Rite Foods’ beverages, including Bigi’s refreshing flavours and Fearless energy drink, fueled both bodies and spirits. Millions of naira worth of products ensured sustenance and a touch of sweetness for those in need.

“It’s about giving back, providing a helping hand to those who might struggle,” said Eniola Badmus, expressing the project’s core value, adding that, “Seeing smiles on their faces makes it all worthwhile. I am very grateful to Rite Foods Limited. It has been with me since l started and the company has been very helpful in making the initiative a success.”

Media and Insight Manager at Rite Foods, Adedotun Ajibade, emphasised the company’s dedication to social responsibility, saying, “We’re proud to stand by initiatives like ‘Feed the Needy’, putting smiles on the faces of the marginalised people who are in dire need of assistance and getting refreshed with our products.”

The journey started at the Lagos State Old People’s Home, where residents enjoyed Badmus’ company and refreshing Bigi drinks. Bethesda Home for the Blind echoed with tales of resilience and shared laughter over Rite Foods’ delicious treats. At Heritage Homes Orphanage, joyful shouts filled the air as children celebrated with Bigi beverages and games.

The grand finale in Shogunle was a vibrant community celebration with much musical entertainment and stage performance by upcoming dancers, a dance competition by children, followed by mothers, with fabulous items as prizes, the show was made more delightful for children with the gaming session of the Bigi Ring Toss, X and O, and the Blind Taste where they were made to identify the various Bigi flavours with their eyes closed, the show culminated with scholarships for two children after a test on current affairs.

Esther Adeyinka, a Junior Secondary School (JSS) two student of the Ikeja Junior High School, and Segun Adeniji, a Primary Five student of Local Government Primary School, both in Shogunle, emerged winners and were awarded scholarships to the Senior Secondary School (SS) Three levels, with Segun to continue at Ikeja Secondary School, which he indicated much interest. The scholarships cover their academic activities as well as feeding.

The “Feed the Needy” initiative is about building hope. The combined support of Rite Foods and Eniola Badmus provided tangible resources and ignited aspirations for a brighter future. Its impact will continue to nourish the hearts and dreams of countless Lagosians in need.
