Three more Commissioners have resigned their appointment in the administration of Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

The latest Commissioners to quit are that of Environment, Hon. Austin Ben-Chioma; Housing, Dr. Gift Worlu, and Transport, Dr. Jacobson Nbina.

Also, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, Marshal Obuzor, and the Chief of Staff to the Ikwerre local government council, Hon. Darlington Orji, also resigned their appointments.

LEADERSHIP reports that the resignation of the five state government’s officials may not be unconnected with the ongoing face-off between Fubara and his erstwhile godfather and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

While Ben-Chioma, Worlu, Nbina and Obuzor served in various capacities under the immediate-past administration of Governor Wike, Orji was state publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
