The first son of Zainab Olagunju, the widow of the late musician, Fatai Rolling Dollar, has said that life had been cruel to his mum which led to her death.

His mother was said to have died last week Tuesday, February 11, 2025 and was buried the following Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Jamiu, who is presently studying Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, lamented of the struggles her late mum and her two sons faced, almost twelve years they lost their dad, known for the hit song, ‘Won Kere Si Number’.

According to Jamiu, his mum had been hypertensive since 2022 and she had managed it but lacked adequate funds and had to sell some of our belongings to get money to treat her ailment, but sadly she still died.

Speaking on her demise and what she will be remembered, Jamiu Olagunju said amidst sobs, “I remember my mother for everything.

She calls my number every day and reminds me of who I am and why I should be of good behavior. I love playing football but my mum told me to hone my music talent and tread the path of my father (Roling Dollar).

Speaking on her demise, friends of the late Rolling Dollar and Zainab expressed shock and prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
