Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the 15-year-old son of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, scored his first international goal in Portugal’s 3–0 victory over Wales at the Football Federations Cup on Saturday.
Playing as a forward, Ronaldo Jr. found the net in the 20th minute with a composed finish from close range during his second appearance for the national U16 side, following his debut against Turkey.
The match, held at the Portuguese Football Federation’s training center in Lisbon, was witnessed by his grandmother, Dolores Aveiro, as the young striker showcased his technical ability amid growing expectations surrounding his budding career.
After his strike, Rafael Cabral extended the lead in the 65th minute and sealed the win with another goal in the 91st. With this result, the Portuguese side claimed its second consecutive victory after defeating Turkey 2-0 in their opening match, where Cristiano Jr. had already shown flashes of his talent and vision on the field.
