Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri is celebrating her senior colleague, Uche Jombo, with heartfelt praise after receiving a surprise gift from her.

Sharing a video of the moment, Kadiri described Jombo as a mother figure in her life, noting that the actress had been a strong support system long before her rise in the industry.

“My mother!!! You were there for me even before I became! You taught me how to be there for others. I love you, and I’ll always cherish having you in my corner,” she wrote.

Kadiri also opened up about a past misunderstanding involving one of her productions and a fellow actress, revealing how Jombo stepped in to guide her.

According to her, despite believing she was right at the time, Jombo advised her to apologise after hearing both sides. Kadiri said she humbled herself and sought forgiveness, trusting her mentor’s judgment.

“I remember when I had a misunderstanding with one of my productions with an artist. I felt I was in my right! You heard it, called me to order, then told me to apologise. And on that day, with heaviness in my heart, I knelt and begged the actress for forgiveness. If Uche Jombo said I was wrong, then I was wrong,” she added.

The actress reaffirmed her love and loyalty to Jombo, describing herself as someone who remains open to correction and guidance from her mentor.
