“In furtherance of efforts to foster interagency cooperation and enhance operational readiness among security agencies in Taraba State, 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) on Friday, October 31, 2025 conducted a Joint Route March for own personnel and other security agencies within Jalingo metropolis.

“The exercise, which witnessed the active participation of personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Immigration Service, Taraba Marshal, and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, was aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and mutual understanding among the various security formations operating within the state,” the statement read.

The statement further quoted the Commander 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 OPWS, Brigadier General Uwa, at the commencement of the March as saying that, “the event was one of the several training activities regularly organised by the Nigerian Army to ensure the physical and mental alertness of officers and soldiers.

“Today’s route march is not just about fitness. It is a demonstration of our strength, unity, and readiness to defend our nation at all times. It reminds us that discipline, teamwork, and endurance remain the hallmarks of our profession.

“As we step off, let us march with pride, purpose, and mutual respect, showing the people of Taraba and Nigeria that the security forces remain united, alert, and mission-ready,” the statement added.
