MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM
Chadwick Boseman’s final film is based on the August Wilson play of the same name, and was inspired by a real-life blues singer Ma Rainey. The fictionalised story follows the musician’s band as they brace for a recording session amid rising racial tensions in 1920’s Chicago.

This Japanese romance tells the story of two teenagers who fall in love and refuse to fall into despair, despite terminal illness diagnoses that give them both less than a year to live.

The indie drama ‘What Maisie Knew’ portrays an unexpectedly gut-wrenching, yet compassionate journey seen through the eyes of a little girl. Julianne Moore and Steve Coogan star as self-absorbed divorced parents using six-year-old Maisie as ammunition against each other.
