The Future Platform, an Atlanta-based Diaspora group, has debunked insinuations in Nigeria that its endorsed candidate, Mr Seyi Tinubu, has usurped the responsibilities of Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the Lagos 2027 governorship elections.

The group instead stated that its candidate has rather continued with his charitable activities across the country targeting the needy and poor in Nigeria, stressing that such magnanimity should not be misunderstood.

The Diaspora group based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America, through its Director of publicity, Afolabi Adeusi, in a media engagement yesterday also said its proposed ‘All-White Endorsement’, originally set for March 4, 2025, has also been rescheduled to April 12, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Vouching for Mr Tinubu’s capacity to run affairs of Lagos when elected Governor come 2027 ,the group maintained that, “As Nigeria’s political landscape gears up for 2027, The Future Platform in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, has identified Seyi Tinubu as a promising leader.

In recognition of his leadership qualities, the group has finalized plans for an All-White Endorsement Event to support his potential candidacy for the Lagos State gubernatorial race in 2027, by God’s grace.”

The publicity director continued, “Amid growing criticism in Nigeria suggesting that his charitable work is an attempt to assume the responsibilities of the Vice President of Nigeria, we want to state clearly that such a claim is entirely false. Seyi Tinubu remains committed to his long-standing passion for humanitarian service for over two decades, even before his father became President, he has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to uplifting the less privileged.

“A visionary and an exceptional leader, Seyi Tinubu is determined to build a strong and inclusive society, transcending linguistic and ethnic differences.
