Global music star Shakira is set to return to one of the world’s most iconic concert venues, the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, nearly two decades after her first performance there.

The Grammy-winning singer will perform at the historic site on November 28 as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour. The concert, presented by Venture Lifestyle, marks her first appearance at the Pyramids since her Oral Fixation Tour in 2007.

Expressing her excitement, Shakira said in a statement, “I’m very happy to be performing in Egypt, at the Pyramids of Giza. I love you all.”

The concert was initially scheduled for April 7 but was postponed due to security concerns arising from tensions in the Middle East following the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.

Before heading to Egypt, Shakira will make history on July 19 when she performs at the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Curated by Chris Martin, the star-studded show will also feature Madonna, Justin Bieber, Burna Boy and conductor Gustavo Dudamel.
