Music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P. has opened up about his experience working with international DJ Chelsea, describing her impact on his recent Europe and North America tour as both noticeable and intentional.

Speaking after a run of shows across major cities, he noted that her presence brought a distinct

shift to the overall performance dynamics.

“She brought a different energy to my Europe and North America tour. It wasn’t just about playing music, it was how she controlled the mood of the crowd,” he stated.

DJ Chelsea, who serves as Mr. P’s international DJ, has been building a reputation for high-energy sets that blend Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, Hip Hop, and R&B into a seamless live experience.

According to those familiar with the tour, her ability to move across genres without breaking momentum became a consistent feature of the shows.

“She understands transitions,” Peter added. “You don’t feel the switch, but the crowd reacts. That’s the difference.”

Beyond the tour, Chelsea has continued to expand her global presence, performing across multiple countries and increasingly making appearances in Nigeria, where she has been connecting with local audiences.

Her background also sets her apart. With over two decades of classical piano training and more

than 10 years of professional acting, including appearances in shows like Snowpiercer and

Supernatural industry observers say her approach to DJing reflects a deeper musical structure.

She has also shared stages with artists such as Burna Boy and Asake, further positioning her

within the growing global Afrobeats circuit.

While she has largely kept a low public profile, moments like this continue to surface through artist conversations and live performance experiences.

Observers said it’s that consistency rather than viral noise that is gradually placing her among the emerging names to watch in the global scene.
