Popular singer and pastor Bankole Wellington, known as Banky W, has praised his wife, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, for her strength during their difficult journey to conceive.

Speaking on the Teju Babyface Show, Banky W described watching his wife go through several failed IVF treatments as a deeply humbling experience. He said the struggle showed him a level of strength in Adesua that he had never seen before.

“In our journey to having children, I saw her go through things that would break most people,” the singer said. He explained that despite the treatments not working at first, Adesua would always get back up and continue with the medical procedures.

Banky W noted that witnessing her pain changed how he views his role at home. He mentioned that seeing her sacrifices makes it impossible for him to complain about chores like cooking, which he now does regularly. He also highlighted how Adesua put her successful acting career on hold during the periods they were trying to conceive.

The couple, who married in November 2017, welcomed their first son in 2021. Banky W shared that their friendship lasted 18 months before they officially started dating. He added that the hard times they faced together did not drive them apart but instead brought them closer to God.
