They include Health and Nutrition; Education; Labour Force Participation; Youth; Social Development; and Local Government and Community Development.

The director general urged stakeholders to key into the HCD agency’s agenda so as to accelerate development in the state as well as ensure that all citizens achieve their full potentials.

“The Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Strategy Document, and the State’s Gender Transformative Human Capital Development Policy Framework documents will be launched on the 12th of October 2024 by the Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Kashim Shettima who is also the National Chairman of the Human Capital Development Agenda.

“The strategy document is a document that creates a platform for collaboration and partnerships within Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and partners within and outside the state.

“We are hoping to create a platform where we would have a proper plan outlined, where we are no longer going to be using funds for interventions without data backed start to end plans.

“We want a situation where we would have plans that are effective and adequate that would intentionally address challenges and achieving expected outcomes. Then, hopefully, we will begin to have accelerated growth and development through sustainable interventions.

“The gender document seeks to create a society where every individual is met at their point of needs and collectively, both genders participate in promoting and increasing the socio-economic position of Nasarawa State,” she explained.

Speaking during the event, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Ibrahim who commended the state’s HCD agency for its positive efforts, expressed satisfaction with the both documents, affirming that they would create equal opportunities for all residents of the state.
